The Whited family used to go to movies all the time. It was not uncommon for us to see two or three movies in a day. We kept the refill popcorn bucket in our car. BUT over the past few years, we could list on one hand the number of movies we have watched in the theater.
For many reasons, but the number one, is that we DO NOT want to support the films that contradict our values. We "vote" with our dollars.
However, there are such films as The Chosen, I Can Only Imagine, Facing the Giants, and many others that gives us hope again. Once again, we find ourselves with a bucket of popcorn at the movie theater.
Well, this weekend, such a film has been released. Tonight you will see the Whited Family at the theater in support of this movie.
I will say again, we vote with our dollars. Hollywood continues to make Fast and Furious and the Avengers not because its a dream project for them but because it is what the public will buy tickets to go see.
Let's show Hollywood what WE REALLY want to go see. Let's flood...
